Winter season 2021/2022 news: a new connection between Cortina and Mt. Lagazuoi

From this winter onwards, skiers can reach the Falzarego Lagazuoi area without having to take their car or a bus!
A new gondola lift starting at Son dei Prade will connect the Tofana area with the 5 Torri and thus with Mount Lagazuoi.

The first section begins in Son dei Prade, in the Pocol ski area at the foot of the Tofane, and reaches Cianzopè (1732 m). From this midway station, a second section leads to Bai de Dones (1890 m) close to the 5 Torri chairlift.

Without cars or buses, just on skis: from now on skiers can comfortably reach the Falzarego pass and Mount Lagazuoi with a gondola lift. Also directly from Cortina d'Ampezzo, simply taking the Freccia nel Cielo cable car.

Skiing down the Armentarola slope, they will be connected to the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel with the spectacular Sellaronda, the Super8 and the Great War Ski Tours. And vice versa, skiers from Badia and Val Gardena can reach the slopes at the foot of the Tofana on skis.

This cableway has two detachable gondola lifts with a midway station. It has an overall length of over 4.600 m, the ride requires 15 minutes. Thanks to 70 ten-person cabins it has a transport capacity of 1,100 people per hour.

Super8 Ski Tour

The Super8 ski tour is a must-do experience when skiing in Cortina, offering breathtaking views of the most famous Dolomite peaks like the Tofana, Pelmo, Civetta, Marmolada, Fanes, Averau, 5 Torri and Conturines.

The Ski Tour winds its way around the mountains in an 8-shape, along beautiful and varied slopes, and can be accessed via the lifts of Bai de Dones and Passo Giau, to Passo Falzarego and Armentarola.

High altitude refuges with panoramic terraces, frozen waterfalls, and high quality services all contribute to a unique experience which even includes a horse powered ski pull!
