In addition to the vibrant centre, Bad Zurzach also has a calming influence. Almost half of Bad Zurzach is covered in forest.

The activities and attractions in the forest change at every time of day and season, in different weather conditions: the doe with her fawn grazing at dawn. The black woodpecker, curiously observing the group of hikers from a great height in the shelter of the beech canopy on a hot summer's day with a loud "Kliöööö". A slug trailing its slimy trail over a fresh porcini mushroom. The tracks of a marten in the fresh snow in the bitter cold and rustling treetops.
