Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport is a unique architectural work of art and a meeting place for art, cuisine and technology.

Originally planned to house the Flying Bulls' growing collection of historic aircraft, Hangar-7 is now synonymous with avant-garde architecture, modern art and fine dining. Discover the many facets of Hangar-7 - the meeting place of art, cuisine and technology.

Architecture
Hangar-7 has developed into a new landmark of the city of Salzburg due to its extraordinary architecture. Hangar-7 was designed from the outset with the aim of creating a unique space whose flowing forms can be experienced three-dimensionally with all the senses. If you stand inside Hangar-7, a vault of sky seems to open up above the historic airplanes. If one looks at the construction from the outside, the comparison with a wing becomes obvious, which radiates an uncommon dynamism and weightlessness - despite the 1,200 tons of steel and 380 tons of special glass used.

Art
In Hangar-7, art is not presented in an obtrusive way, but is stylishly embedded in its surroundings. This alone guarantees the unique atmosphere created by the impressive glass roof of Hangar-7. Depending on the weather or the position of the sun, the exhibited works are bathed in a different, pleasant light.

In Hangar-7, artists and visitors meet at eye level. It is a meeting place for all art lovers, the word Kunsthalle would not do it justice as an exhibition venue. Hangar-7 is rather a place of exchange, where artists and art lovers inspire each other. A place that is enlivened by this exchange and thus promotes an attractive contrast between the exhibition themes: Technology in all its forms on the one hand and art on the other.

Culinary
In the Restaurant Ikarus a long-cherished vision of culinary delights is realised - the Ikarus concept. Patron Witzigmann and Executive Chef Roland Trettl invite top chefs from all over the world to Ikarus to take Hangar-7 guests on a culinary world tour. Every month, a different guest chef with refined menus and his very personal style ensures the highest gourmet enjoyment.

Technology
The Flying Bulls in Salzburg are dedicated to the art of finding rare historic aircraft, restoring them with dedication and giving them wings again. Hangar-7 was opened at Salzburg Airport in the summer of 2003 and is now home to the Flying Bulls. A special feature of the historic collection of the Flying Bulls is that the exhibits are far more than just pieces from the collection. Because all Flying Bulls aircraft, regardless of age, are airworthy.
