Am 31. März 2019 startet Schloss Tratzberg nach dem Winterschlaf wieder in die neue Saison!
An exciting journey into the Middle Ages
Mighty yet also enchanting it sits on the slopes of the Karwendel, on a ridge between Jenbach and Schwaz: The magnificent Renaissance castle Tratzberg. Hardly any other aristocratic estate has been able to retain as much of its original structure. Its original interior fittings and decorations are what make Tratzberg Castle so worth seeing. Our guests are led through the castle by means of an extraordinarily entertaining audio drama tour. Everywhere you encounter traces of the original inhabitants of Tratzberg, be it in the Habsburger hall with its unique wall painting showing the Habsburger family tree, or in the queen's room, a fascinating masterwork of German Renaissance.
The children's tour is like a fairytale
In a child-oriented tour, our young guests (4 to 10 years) are introduced to history in a playful and exciting manner. In this audiovisual tour in the form of a fairy tale, the children's attention is cleverly drawn to the exhibits, which are explained sensitively and can thus be consciously viewed.
Guided evening tour with knights' feast
From 30 persons from May to September: In the romantic torch-lit courtyard, our visitors are welcomed by historically clad damsels and noblemen, who accompany them through the castle shining in its evening magic. After the tour, the little train "Tratzberg Express" brings guests to the restaurant "Schlosswirt Tratzberg" where they are served a hearty 4-course knight's meal.
