Observatory Gahberg

The observatory on the Gahberg in Weyregg is located at an altitude of 860 meters and was built by the members of the Astronomical Association Salzkammergut.

The Astronomical Arbeitskreis Salzkammergut offers visitors tours and observatory nights. Several observatory buildings with numerous telescopes offer a view of the Universe. Moon, planets, shooting stars, distant galaxies, constellations await visitors.
Photo exhibition and astrophotography amaze visitors.
When visiting daily to visitors offer charming panoramic views of the mountains hell and the wonderful landscape of the holiday region Attersee in the Salzkammergut.
