The starting point is the Kaltenbronn car park or the Kaltenbronn bus stop – with a visit to the Infozentrum. Here, visitors are interactively and very vividly informed about the nature park and its special features as well as its need for protection in an entertaining way. From here, numerous circular, hiking and adventure trails lead to the raised bog area "Wildsee", one of the last intact raised bog areas in Central Europe. The hike continues towards the "Grünhütte" (a place to eat) and along the long-distance hiking trail Mittelweg further to the Sommerberg above Bad Wildbad. On the Sommerberg there are a variety of offers for the whole family, such as the Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald or the WILDLINE suspension bridge. From both attractions you have a special view of the Northern Black Forest, the Vosges, the Swabian Alb, or the Central Black Forest. Afterwards, you can relax and take the Sommerbergbahn down to the valley.
The route follows the marked hiking trail network of the Black Forest Association. Follow the diamonds from signpost location to signpost location.
