Trudge from Wildhaus up to the mountain restaurant Gamplüt, then on to Alp Fros, and enjoy one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Upper Toggenburg. Back at the mountain inn Gamplüt, a warm punch and some food await you. On the last stretch downhill to Wildhaus, you can once again enjoy the wonderful view of the opposite Churfirsten.
From the Chuchitobel parking lot, the route steadily climbs the sunny hillside via Steinrüti to Lisigweid. Passing through light woods, the Alp Gamplüt at 1,350 m above sea level at the foot of the imposing Wildhauser Schafberg is reached. The sun terrace of the Gamplüt restaurant is inviting for a break. The ascent to the destination of the route, Alp Fros, gets steep again for a short while. But once at the top, the magnificent view of the Rhine Valley and the distinctive Churfirsten rewards the effort. On the way back, the path leads via Gamplüt and steeply downhill to the starting point. If needed, the world's first solar-powered gondola operates 365 days a year for a shortcut.
