With the Kaminspitze as your goal, this day tour first takes you across the lovely plateau of the St. Margrethenberg and then over the Fürggli to the AlpMaton. From there, it is only a stone's throw to the Chimmispitz. At the top, small caves and the impressive border stone wall between the cantons of St.Gallen and Graubünden are enchanting.
Normal hiking equipment, sturdy mountain boots.
Take the highway exit Bad Ragaz, then follow the main road to Pfäfers and then follow the signs to St. Margrethenberg Tristeli.
Take the train to Bad Ragaz, continue by bus to the Pfäfers Post stop and then change to the bus to St. Margrethenberg.
Public parking spaces available at Tristeli on St. Margrethenberg (subject to charge)
