The route starts at the top station of the Almbahn II in the Almenwelt Lofer. The ascent follows the secured slope. The goal is the so-called Sender at Schönbühel, the highest point of the ski area. You return to the starting point on the groomed slopes. From here you can use either Almbahn I & II or the valley descent to get back to the valley.
You start your route at Almbahn II and go along the right edge of the slope past the Soderkaser towards Schönblick. From there, continue following the slope to the top station of the Familyexpress before conquering the last few meters of elevation to the top station of the Senderexpress, to Schönbühel.

Ski touring equipment
By car via the B 311 or B 178 to the roundabout in the center of Lofer. From here continue towards Salzburg. After about 500 meters, either go to the large parking lot next to the federal road or enter the town of Lofer.
Accessible by line 260 from Salzburg or Zell am See. Stop: Mittelschule Lofer
It is also possible to travel with the free ski bus between Weißbach and Unken: Schedule
You can either park at the large parking lot in Lofer, or directly at the valley station of Almenwelt Lofer.
