The vacation region Emmelshausen is located at the very front of the Hunsrück and is characterized by its excellent location with proximity to the Rhine and Moselle as a starting point for many cycling and hiking tours.
In addition to the dream loop premium trails Murscher Eselsche (nominated in 2013 as the most beautiful hiking trail in Germany), Oberes Baybachtal and Rabenlay, many other dream loops are also in the immediate vicinity. There are only about 20 premium trails in Germany with more than 80 points - you can find as many as eight of them here in the Hunsrück-Mittelrhein region.
As the starting point of the Schinderhannes cycle path, which is a former railroad line that winds its way through the Hunsrück landscape with moderate gradients, Emmelshausen offers one of many possibilities to set off by bike. The bike bus from the Moselle and the Hunsrückbahn from the Rhine always bring you effortlessly back to Emmelshausen.
Emmelshausen is also a recognized climatic health resort with a good infrastructure and can come up with a cultural offer known beyond the regional borders.
