Fischbach mountain health resort

Fischbach is the village in Eastern Styria closest to the sky (1,050 metres above sea level) and is located in the largest contiguous forest area in Central Europe, at the foot of the Fischbach Alps, in the immediate vicinity of Peter Rosegger's Waldheimat.

The mountain health resort of Fischbach with its health-promoting climate is particularly suitable for the supportive treatment of a wide variety of ailments.
There are still many farmers in Fischbach, no industry, people live in a very nature- and environmentally-conscious way, and the many rare flowers that can still be found here are a sign that the fauna and flora are still in good condition. Every year at Easter, the idyllic village is known far beyond its borders as the Easter Bunny Village of Fischbach! Many Easter bunnies decorate the gardens, squares and houses.
But the traditional Ägydimarkt at the beginning of September also ensures that the customs of our region are not forgotten.
