Mazzin

Lying in the heart of the valley, Mazzin is the ideal point of departure for wonderful mountain hikes. Besides peace and quiet and the wide meadows surrounding the village, Mazzin boasts a great archaeological history related to discoveries on the nearby "Doss dei Pigui" where important remains of prehistoric eras tell the story of distant vicissitudes. Today the relics are displayed in museums as a document of the life and work of ancient populations. There are also plenty of examples of local architectural traditions that can be seen in constructions of rare value and are now gradually being restored as they are a heritage to be preserved and protected with the care one usually has for precious things.
