At 191.3 km², Molln is the fourth largest municipality in the province of Upper Austria. Natural monuments such as the "Rinnende Mauer" and the "Steyrdurchbruch" are located here. Everyone knows the Frauenstein pilgrimage church with the famous protective mantle Madonna by Gregor Erhardt.
With more than a hundred kilometres of hiking and cycling trails, Molln, as the centre of the mountain bike region, invites you to enjoy sporting activities in a completely unspoilt natural landscape.
A special musical instrument has been made in Molln for centuries: the Jew's harp. Over 30 master craftsmen were once involved in the production of the so-called "trouser sack instrument". It is said to have an eroticising effect and many a "Menschakamma" opened up at night after playing it sonorously. Recently, the Jew's harp has become very popular again.
The feel-good community in the heart of the Kalkalpen National Park is looking forward to your visit!
