Tione die Trento

An extremely well-connected town in a convenient position between the Brenta Dolomites, Lake Garda and Trento.

The flourishing business and holiday centre of Tione is located at the crossroads between the Valle del Chiese, the Val Rendena and the Valli Giudicarie (Judicarias), between the Brenta Dolomites, Lake Garda and the city of Trento.

Situated at the foot of Monte Gaggio, the town is crossed by the Sarca river and the Arnò stream. Initially a Roman settlement, it was later inhabited by the Cenomanians. In 1525, Tione became the seat of the episcopal vicar for the Judicarii and Val Vestino. The place took on an important role in the history of the Giudicarie when the seat of justice was transferred here. After the last war, Tione underwent a significant development.

Thanks to the favourable position and the good transport connections of the village, the Adamello Brenta Natural Park can be reached quickly. Here the mountains can be experienced both from a sporting and a scenic point of view. The other valleys that flow in here, which are ideal for walks and excursions, are also easily accessible from Tione.

The area offers many opportunities to practice sports, from golf in Val Rendena to winter sports in Bolbeno. Each valley is also equipped with cycle paths, fitness and sports centres. All in the immediate vicinity.
