Welcome to Zenting!

The mountain forest community of Zenting is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, it belongs to the Sonnenwald region and lies at the foot of the Brotjacklriegel (1.011 m). The community is characterised by a lively cultural and social life, in which tourism also plays an important role. A well-signposted network of hiking trails opens up the unspoilt, intact nature with absolutely pure air. With the certified premium hiking trail Goldsteig and the European long-distance hiking trail E 8, the municipality is connected to the long-distance hiking trail network.
Zenting is an ideal starting point for excursions and hikes at any time of year. The mountain village of Daxstein offers an overwhelming view as far as the Bavarian and Austrian Alps, and a local history museum invites you to visit. In the Ranfels district, a visit to the castle and church complex from the 12th century should not be missed.
