The Mountains: Snow sports
In winter, the 160 km of pistes for all levels of ability are perfect for all kinds of winter sports: cross-country ski trails, ski touring trails, snowshoe trails and footpaths await those who love tranquillity and harmony. Thanks to 710 snow guns, skiing is guaranteed from December to the end of April. Every year, Valloire organises an international snow and ice sculpture competition. Sculptors from all over the world meet in the snow and cold for 3 days and 3 nights, bringing to life enormous blocks of snow measuring 4 m x 4 m... It's a total spectacle!

The Col du Galibier
At the foot of the legendary Col du Galibier, Valloire in summer boasts a prestigious mountain backdrop: the distinctive Aiguilles d'Arves, the Cerces with its majestic ibex, the Thabor, lord of the peaks, and the nearby Ecrins and Vanoise national parks.

In the village, in fine weather, the hours are never long, punctuated by the sound of the church bell, and there's always something to do or discover. First and foremost, there are the many fun activities, ranging from exploring the mountains in all their glory - via ferrata, climbing, hiking - to downright summery pursuits such as swimming and the joys of bathing.
