21 modern cableways, 5 chair lifts as well as 6 ski lifts* take you from three different sides up to the summit which awaits you with a great view and wide slopes which go gently down the mountain. The 32 lifts can carry 71,000 people an hour and are therefore not too busy and you don’t have to worry about long queues. The ski resort Kronplatz offers more than 120 km of slopes which are always in best condition. Thanks to the most modern snowmaking system all slopes are covered with snow and 32 snow crawlers together with about 250 workers guarantee for ideal skiing conditions.

The Kronplatz, South Tyrol’s ski mountain no. 125, has also become very attractive for snowboarders. The six ski-runs down to the valley, which are open until spring, are unique. The ski-run down to Olang is 6.5 km long and covers a difference in altitude of 1,170 m. The one down to St. Vigil is 6 km long and rather flat with a difference in altitude of 1,070 m. The black ski-runs “Silvester” and “Hernegg” are 5 km long with a difference in altitude of 1,300 m and are for sure a unique experience for pros. Another challenge is the slope “Erta” (the Ladin term for “steep”) which goes down to the village centre of St. Vigil. All of them are quite unforgettable!

In winter 2006/07 the Kronplatz mountain reached closer to the centre of the Dolomites thanks to the connection to the Sellaronda! This was made possible with the construction of the new cableway and the black ski-run „Piculin“. Walk-in buses run from Pikolein to Alta Badia every 20 minutes to complete the connection.
