Lam is the most visited climatic health resort in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park. Its central location amidst the mountain ranges of Arber, Osser and Hohen Bogen and a 150 km network of paths make it the ideal starting point for nature lovers, hikers, trail runners and those seeking relaxation.

Relax in the year-round adventure pool - the Osserbad - with sauna, steam bath and two giant slides or while golfing at the panorama golf course with driving range. In winter you can discover the unspoilt landscape on snowshoes or on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Two ski schools with equipment rental and the free ski bus to the alpine centre "Großer Arber" as well as to the cross-country skiing centre Scheiben round off the winter offer. The annual Rauhnacht on 27 December attracts thousands of visitors every year.

The dominant focal point is Lam's market square and the church with its beautiful onion tower. The originality and rural character are what make this idyllic spot so appealing. People know each other in Lam. And the guest also soon feels accepted into the rhythm of life in the village under the Osser.
