Summer holiday in Tyrol's untouched mountain world

The Wipptal holiday region between Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass with its five unspoilt mountain valleys is an absolute insider's tip for all touring enthusiasts looking for peace and quiet on the mountain. In addition, the local cultural offerings are well complemented by those in the nearby provincial capital of Innsbruck or in South Tyrol. With the guest card as a ticket for public transport in the region, a cultural excursion is easy and inexpensive.

The incredible variety of scenic highlights and the untouched nature in the five mountain valleys make the Wipptal holiday region an ideal holiday destination for active nature lovers. In summer, the selection ranges from over 500 km of marked hiking trails, an extensive network of trails for mountain bikers incl. single trails, a bike park, two via ferrata routes, two hut tours with 6 huts each, several themed trails and family offers, such as the mill village in Gschnitz, the Bärenbachl water experience world on the Bergeralm or the BBT info centre in Steinach.

Our region is also known for special holiday offers, such as the School of the Alpine Pasture, herbal courses, volunteer and mountain forest projects Find out more: www. wipptal.at.

With St. Jodok, Schmirn- and Valsertal and Gschnitztal there are now two mountaineering villages of the Alpine Associations that are committed to nature-oriented and sustainable tourism development. An additional sign for more sustainability is the already mentioned initiative guest card = ticket for all public transport in the region (Innsbruck-Brenner suburban railway and regional buses).
