Brixen und Umgebung

The region of Brixen and Environs stretches from the Brennerpass to the Mediterranean-style capital of Bolzano/Bozen. Alpine and Mediterranean flair meet here. The landscape is characterized by high mountains, rolling hills and bright valleys with apples, wine and chestnuts.

Whether villages or small towns, mountains or valleys, cultural and natural landscapes, gentle hikes or alpine high mountain trails - the hiking region of Brixen and the surrounding area offers something of everything and is waiting to be discovered.

The largest towns in the region are definitely worth a visit: Brixen, Klausen and Sterzing are full of history, offer numerous sights and a successful mix of tradition and innovation.

Every year in the fall, a well-known tradition that enjoys great popularity is continued with the first wine: Törggelen. A range of specialties and chestnuts are offered in the farm inns to accompany the first wine of the vintage.
